Vusely ("we," "us") is a tool that lets independent store owners connect their social accounts, prepare a post once, and publish it now or schedule it for later. This page explains what information we collect, why, and who else sees it.

Information we collect

When you use Vusely, we collect:

  • Account information: your email address and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase; we never see your plaintext password), or your name and email address if you sign in with Google instead.
  • Workspace profile: your workspace's name, logo, description, and the tone/personality settings you choose for it.
  • Content you create: post captions, uploaded images, scheduling times, and which platforms you choose to publish to.
  • Connected accounts: which social platforms you've connected (currently Facebook Pages, Instagram Business, and Threads), the connected account's handle/ID, and an encrypted access token we use solely to publish on your behalf. We never see or store your social platform password.
  • Posts you make outside Vusely: for a connected Instagram account or Facebook Page, we read the posts you made yourself on the platform (about the last six months): the caption, the link, when it was posted, and the likes, comments and other numbers the platform shares. We use them only to show how your posts did and to help Mia avoid repeating what you just posted. This is read-only; we change nothing on your account. The copy is deleted when you disconnect the account, when you connect a different account of the same kind, and with your workspace.
  • Your follower count: once a day, for a connected Instagram account or Facebook Page, we read how many people follow it (for Instagram also how many accounts it follows and how many posts it has) and keep one count per day. We use these only to show on Insights how your audience changes. We never see or keep who your followers are. The counts are deleted when you disconnect the account, when you connect a different account of the same kind, and with your workspace.
  • If you connect TikTok: through TikTok's own sign-in page, with your permission, we receive your TikTok display name, a TikTok account ID (an "open ID" that is specific to Vusely), and the access and refresh tokens TikTok issues, which we store encrypted. Each time you prepare a TikTok post we also read, without keeping it, your TikTok nickname and profile picture and the settings TikTok tells us about your account (who can see posts, which of comments, Duets and Stitches you allow, the longest video you can post). We use this only to show which TikTok account you are posting to, to post the content you prepare when you press post, and to show whether TikTok received it. The video, pictures and title you send are stored with the rest of your post. We don't read your TikTok messages, followers or other videos, and we don't sell or share this information.
  • If you connect Pinterest: through Pinterest's own sign-in page, with your permission, we receive your Pinterest username and account ID and the access and refresh tokens Pinterest issues, which we store encrypted. When you prepare a Pinterest post we read, without keeping it, the list of your boards so you can choose where a pin goes, and we keep the one board you choose as your workspace's default (its name and ID). We use this only to create the pins you prepare when you press post, and to show whether Pinterest received them. The picture, title, description and link you send are stored with the rest of your post. We don't read your other pins, followers or messages, and we don't sell or share this information.
  • Your link page (optional): if you switch on a link page, the page is public. Anyone with its address can see your workspace's name and picture and the title, note and buttons you wrote. We count taps: each time someone taps a button, one is added to that button's number for the day, and you see the last 30 days in your workspace settings. A count is only a number. We don't store who tapped, their IP address, device or browser with it, we set no cookie for it, and we don't build a profile of visitors. A tap from an obvious robot is usually left out (so the number is an estimate, not an exact count). (Our hosting provider keeps its ordinary short-lived request logs for every page on the site; we don't use them to count taps.) Switching the page off hides it at once.
  • Publishing results: whether a post succeeded, any error message, and a link back to the published post, so you can see what happened.
  • Mia's settings (optional): if you turn on AI-generated posts for your workspace, the prompts and brand information you provide are used to generate captions and images, and we keep basic records of what was generated so future suggestions can improve.

How we use this information

We use your information to run the product: authenticate you, let you connect and manage social accounts, and publish or schedule the posts you create. If you enable it, we also generate on-brand captions and images for your workspace. We do not sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share information with

We share information with the following service providers, only as needed to run Vusely:

  • Supabase: our database, authentication, and file storage provider.
  • Vercel: hosts the application.
  • Resend: sends account-related emails (like sign-in confirmations).
  • Google: if you choose "Sign in with Google."
  • Meta Platforms, Inc.: used to publish to Facebook Pages, Instagram Business, and Threads accounts you connect.
  • TikTok: when you connect TikTok and post to it, your video or pictures, title and the choices you make for the post are sent to TikTok. TikTok handles them under its own privacy policy.
  • Pinterest: when you connect Pinterest and post to it, your picture, title, description and link, and the board you choose, are sent to Pinterest. Pinterest handles them under its own privacy policy.
  • OpenAI and Google (Gemini): only if you enable AI-generated content, your prompt and brand information are sent to these providers to generate captions and images. Your pictures are also sent to Google (Gemini) when Mia labels a photo in your library or describes a picture for people who can't see it (its alt text). The words of comments on your posts are sent to OpenAI when Mia sorts and answers them. When you press Look at recent questions on Mia's page, a few short examples of questions people repeated in your comments are sent, without the names of the people who wrote them.
  • Inngest: runs scheduled and AI-generation background jobs.

We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can disconnect a social account at any time from Connected accounts, which removes its stored access token. For TikTok, disconnecting also tells TikTok to revoke Vusely's access to your account. You can also remove Vusely's access from inside TikTok. Pinterest has no way for Vusely to revoke its access, so disconnecting Pinterest removes the stored sign-in here, and you can also remove Vusely from the apps connected to your Pinterest account. You can download a copy of a workspace's posts, photos, products, Mia's notes and settings (never your sign-in details) from Workspace settings, under Profile, with "Download my data." To delete your account and all associated data (workspace profile, posts, connected accounts, and Mia's settings), use "Delete my account" in the same place, or contact us at hello@vusely.com.

Security

Social account access tokens are stored encrypted, not in plain text. Our database uses row-level security so your workspace's data is only ever readable by you.

Children's privacy

Vusely is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13.
